Spool is a personal library first. If people keep asking you to print things, you can also open a simple shop: share a link, let them order, and decide what — if anything — to charge. Spool never handles the money and takes nothing.
How it works
You set the price
Save your filament cost, hourly rate and shipping rates once, and Spool does the arithmetic to suggest a price. You type in the weight and hours — a model link doesn't include them, they come off your slicer — and you can change any number before you send the quote. Or mark it no charge for family.
Paying is between you two
Add whatever you use — Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal or plain cash — and it shows on the order as instructions. When the money arrives, you tick the order paid. There's no card processing and no fees.
Orders in one place
Orders, buyers, shipping notes and dates sit together, and your buyer gets a link showing the stage the order is at. You move it along as things happen — accepted, printing, ready, shipped — so the tracking is only as current as you keep it.
Before you charge for anything, check the model's license. Many models are shared for non-commercial use only, which means you can print them for yourself but not sell the print. Spool shows the license on the model and warns you when it looks non-commercial.

The shop is part of Spool and costs nothing to use. Spool never touches the money and takes no cut — you get paid directly, however you like.
